With over 12 years of experience in Immigration and Family Law, Vladimir focuses on strategic legal solutions for his clients, and believes in providing a beneficial service to the communities he works in. His work ethic is characterized by a deeply involved approach, engaging with clients, fully involving them, incorporating their goals, concerns, values and feedback in order to effectively help solve sensitive, complex and challenging legal problems. While Vladimir is well-versed in many areas of the law, his practice primarily focuses on Matrimonial and Family Law, Custody Disputes, and Immigration Law.
A practicing Attorney since 2012, Vladimir is licensed to practice law in New York and Florida. He graduated from New York City’s Baruch College in 2008, and subsequently attended St. Thomas University School of Law in Florida. He is a member of the Brooklyn Bar and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and his prior firm, Nikhman, Nikhman & Associates, PLLC was voted 1 of the “10 Best Law Firms” by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys twice and has been published in the “MARQUIS Who’s Who in America” newspaper and publication board.
Aside from a distinguished reputation as an outstanding courtroom litigator, Vladimir Nikhman is known as being pleasant and reliable as well as a competent and knowledgeable advocate for those in need.

Focusing on Matrimonial and Family Law as well as Immigration Law and Contracts, Mr. Ilyayev graduated from CUNY Queens College in 2019, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and received an award of Honors in Political Science. While at Queens College, Mr. Ilyayev also was a member of multiple outreach program assisting the community youth.
He then attended the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where he graduated in 2022 while simultaneously working full time at a law firm.
Mr. Ilyayev passed the Universal Bar Examination in July of 2022 and was admitted to Practice in the State of New York in June of 2023.
Prior to opening Ilyayev & Nikhman, PLLC, Mr. Ilyayev opened a solo practice wherein he advocated zealously for his clients. Mr. Ilyayev’s experience enables him to be an advocate and ally of his clients. Mr. Ilyayev is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
